Once you’ve got past the whopping dollop of vanilla on the nose, there’s a beautifully balancing acidity, bags of ripe, creamy, strawberry fruit, and silky tannins to match. If you tried the 2002 and weren’t convinced, try this again – it’s from the excellent 2004 vintage, and doesn’t it just show.
